SYNOPSIS Revision in reimbursement of expenses for use of own vehicles for official duties.

The detailed circular on TA rules for Officers was issued vide Circular No 1/2004 dated 01.01.2004.

Regulation -41 of CBOSR 1979 deals with the reimbursement of expenses on travel by Officer employees. The clause no 2(ii) of the above Regulation relates to reimbursement of travelling expenses to Officer employees who use their own vehicle for Bank's work.

Further, Regulation 42 of CBOSR 1979, relates to reimbursement of expenses to Officer employees on transfer. The Clauses 2 (iii) and (iv) of the above Regulation state as follows:
Regulation 42 (2) (iii) : An Officer who owns a car will be eligible to claim the cost of transporting it by train to the place of transfer, at goods train rate, and when the car is driven by road, the cost of so taking it, at the rates decided by the Board.
Regulation 42 (2) (iv) : An Officer who owns a scooter, motor cycle or any other vehicle, will be eligible to claim the cost of transporting it to the place of transfer at goods train rate; and if the vehicle is transported by lorry, the actual lorry charges. If the vehicle is driven by road, the Officer will be eligible to claim at the rates decided by the Board.


We are now pleased to inform that the Board of Directors have permitted to revise the existing rates. The existing and the revised rates are furnished here below:

Further, the revised rates as applicable to Four Wheeler i.e. Engine capacity of 1000 cc or more shall be applicable to modified conveyance scheme of Executives in SMG Scale-IV and SMG Scale-V.
The revision in rates, as above, shall be effective from 01.10.2011.
