SUB: Promotion to MMG Scale II, MMG Scale III andSMG Scale IV for the year 2006
1. We are pleased to inform that the Long Term Promotion Policy has been approved by the Board of Directors. The details of the policy are enclosed in Annexure I.
We are furnishing herebelow the eligibility criteria, zone of consideration, vacancy and other modalities pertaining to the current promotion process.
Eligibility Criteria:
The following Officers are eligible to undergo the current promotion process.

Vacancies for promotion from MMG Scale III to SMG Scale IV is 230.
2. The written test for the above promotion process are scheduled to be conducted as follows :
Please Note: The Written Test will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, Mumbai. For the present application the Written Test will be Objective in nature. For future application, the Written Test can be objective or descriptive or both. All the eligible candidates will be issued with the Call Letter by concerned Staff Sections, indicating their Roll Numbers, Centre of the Written Test, Venue, date of examination etc. In case the Call Letter is not received by the Branch / Office on or before 04.02.2006 for promotions to MMGS III and SMGS IV and 18.02.2006 for promotion to MMGS II, the matter may be taken up with their Staff Sections immediately.
The candidates will not be allowed to appear for the Written Test without the Call Letters. The candidates are also required to bring their Identity Cards. In case of non-availability of the Identity Card, they should bring their latest Photograph duly attested by the Branch / Office in charge.
All the candidates have to appear in the Centres allotted to their Circle. Change of Centre will not be entertained.
This Memo is to be circulated among all the eligible Officers against their acknowledgement as per proforma Annexure – II. If any eligible Officer is on leave / under suspension, the same has to be intimated to their leave address along with Call Letters for the Test by Registered Post.
We are in the last quarter of the financial year ending 31-03-2006 and it is necessary that every employee should contribute for business growth in this quarter. Hence, all the Officers/Managers are advised to refrain from Leave taking for the purpose of preparing to undergo the promotion process. Availing of leave during the last quarter will not be appreciated.
