Dear Friends,

SALARY REVISION

CHARTER OF DEMANDS SUBMITTED

We are glad to inform our members that the leaders of UFBU representing Officers Organisations have submitted a common Charter of Demands to the IBA on 29-10-2007. The Representatives impressed upon IBA, the need for time bound settlement since the entire workforce in the banking industry is looking forward to it with great expectations. The IBA assured the delegates that it will take necessary initiative and start the process of commencement of negotiations in the right earnest.

Friends, you will appreciate that the salaries have risen substantially in other sectors. We the so called carriers of Indian economy are taking the load without being reasonably rewarded. The powers that be must take cognizance of the reality and put us at par with other sectors.

Now that the first step has been completed, let us gear up our machinery to achieve our demands. We have appended a copy of the Charter of Demands submitted to the IBA for your ready reference.
